A few months ago, via the wonders of Twitter, I was asked by the very talented Jacqui Mcsweeney if I’d like to assist her at a gorgeous Summer wedding at Hever Castle in Kent and of course I jumped at the chance! I think this was one of the most beautiful weddings I have photographed, the venue was amazing and we were so lucky with the weather! Here are some of the photos I took on the day…

Here’s a few images I couldn’t resist showing you before I blogged the whole wedding, some gorgeous details and a really fun, down to earth couple

Bea’s mum laid on a delicious breakfast for everybody, I might have nibbled the odd pastry (or two!)

The medieval carriageway that runs through their farm

The rain didn’t stop anyone from having a good time!

And I do like to see a bride making a speech, I’d be far too nervous!
The full wedding will be on here soon!

Hi Laura,
Gorgeous photos! Really love the one with the flowers on the window sill.
Take care, Hannah x
Aw thanks Hannah, yes it was a gorgeous wedding!
See you soon, Laura

I recently photographed the lovely Bea and Phil on the grounds of Bea’s parents’ house. The light was absolutely perfect! They have a field full of pumpkins and sunflowers which will feature on their wedding day so we made good use of it, I even got to ride on the back of a quad bike thingy!

They are such a laid back couple, I’m so pleased I’ll be photographing their wedding!

This is a medieval carriageway that will also be featured on their wedding day…

Their wedding is coming soon!

I recently shot the engagement session of Bea and Phil, they were so fun and laid back! We wandered around Bea’s parents’ beautiful pumpkin, sunflower and clover fields and the light was just perfect, I couldn’t stop grinning! Here are a few to whet your appetite…

More to follow!

This morning I woke up and felt so inspired! I love seasonal changes. I went outside and felt the Autumnal air and heard the birds singing and enjoyed the breeze. Suddenly I was desperate for my camera and it felt so good to be excited to take photographs because I wanted to, not because I was working. We live in The Ashdown Forest which is absolutely beautiful, and the light this morning was so pretty. So I headed out with my SLR, my Holga and my cat, with this song stuck in my head and took some pictures…

Beautiful, how lucky to live somewhere as gorgeous that! I have a cat just like yours! Wish the light was like that everyday
Aw thanks guys!
It is lovely here, although it’s a bit of a pain when you run out of milk! xxx
P.S. That’s Moose. She’s very intrepid

Aw thanks Bryony! I can do yours like that if you like? It works best on sunny days, fingers crossed!

I looked at the images while listening to the song, and it seemed to fit particularly well. Beautiful shots here, I love the light – so magical!
Thanks so much Alex! I love your work so that’s a big compliment
