I’m getting thoroughly fed up with the weather at the moment, I know we’re all banging on about it but it’s getting silly now, I need some sunshine!!
So I thought I’d blog our trip to Valencia, Spain!
It was a bustling, vibrant city, with such a mixture of old & new buildings. I liked the old traditional architechture most, but the modern structures were so innovative and striking. For the first couple of days we stayed in a hotel in the modern half; Ross was at a conference so I had two days to wander about by myself. Virtually nobody spoke English which was difficult at first, but my Spanish came flooding back and I started doing quite well!
I took a bus into the old town, I took some of these from the bus
I stopped for a beer and paella, (obviously!) in this little street on the right, it was lovely
Back to the hotel
The next few days were AMAZING! We stayed in the most perfect little hippy beach hostel called The Moon Beach Guest House. If you’re ever in the area you have to stay there, perfectly clean, private rooms and the owner, David is so cool, plus he looks like Dave Grohl
It was painted with all these psychedelic colours
View from our very modest balcony, we just managed to squeeze two mall chairs out there
Then we went for a wander
Dave had an amazing bar downstairs full of lots of weird & wonderful finds; he’d make a killing if he had it in Brighton! That night there was a stag do going on, at least I hope it was a stag do
We really can’t wait to go back
